Assistant Sales Manager - freight forwarding

Location : Subang Jaya

Salary : RM 6.000 - 7,000

job description

  • Responsible to grow company freight forwrding & logistics business in accordance with corporate objectives, i.e. revenue, profitability and market share
  • Develop qualified leads using various direct methods such as cold calling, visits and indirect methods such as networking and referrals
  • Drive the entire sales cycle from initial customer engagement to closed sales
  • Visit customers on regular basis in building relationships at all levels and represents the company in a professional manner,
  • Prepare quotations, proposal and negotiate rates and service terms with customers
  • Report sales activities and maintain good records on prospect and customer interactions for internal reference
  • Coach and lead the sales team in achieving company objective
  • Cultivate strong relationships with third party and partner companies that maybe required to deliver full solutions to customers
  • Conduct all sales activities with the highest degree of professionalism and integrity
Requirements:
  • A recognised degree/diploma is preferred
  • 3 years and above of experience in freight industry
  • Possess strong import/export ocean and air transportation experience and in-depth knowledge of freights forwarding (both import and export)
  • Self motivated personality and capable of developing compelling value propositions that foster strong relationships
  • Resourceful and good in providing win-win solutions/value added service to customers
  • Excellent management and leadership skill
  • Attractive remuneration package will be offered commensurate with track record and experience
  • Package includes basic salary, allowance and commission/incentive
